This building, emblematic of Cuba, is partially restored and partially ruins. The film “Fresa y Chocolate” created an interest in the location which led to an uptick in tourist visits. Ultimately the Cuban government allowed an restaurant upstairs, a paladar (private restaurant in Cuba), which has transformed the multifamily residence into a world class restaurant. This photo was taken with my iPhone in panoramic mode… something that is not possible with a DSLR because the lens is moving while you create the image… like the panoramic cameras of the film days.
